CHATEAU PICHON-LONGUEVILLE COMTESSE DE LALANDE, 2023

PRIMEURS - LIVRAISON 2026

"This is truly excellent, with superb finesse and precision. It has a tight density with a brilliance almost like a diamond. Medium- to full-bodied, with incredibly consistent, high-quality tannins. The texture is like silk. A top-tier Pichon Lalande. Made from organically and biodynamically grown grapes. 80% cabernet sauvignon, 17% merlot, and 3% cabernet franc. Might be even better than the 2022." – James Suckling

En primeurs 2023

Vision of the 2023 Vintage, Back to the Future
“Vintage 2023 is marked by great classicism and noble, distinguished power, tinged with the energy and liveliness of some great vintages of the past.” - Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande

Viticulture
The 2023 vintage was a year of contrasts. Rainfall was higher than usual, yet the vines had to grow in a relatively dry season. Flowering occurred between May 26 and 30, and veraison between August 1 and 8. The harvest conditions were excellent, allowing for the perfect timing to harvest berries at optimal ripeness according to each parcel.

Harvest
The harvest took place from September 6 to 30.

Aging
The wine of Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is aged for 19 months in French oak barrels, 60 to 65% of which are new.

2023 Vintage Tasting
At Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, wines are discovered and revealed through music. Each vintage comes with a musical suggestion to enhance the tasting experience. Discover the track “Chick Corea – After the Cosmic Rain” available on Spotify, comfortably seated in your living room surrounded by loved ones and accompanied by a delicious dish.
