En primeurs 2023

Vintage 2023

The freshness of winter and the mildness of spring favored a beautiful flowering. However, the combination of heavy rains and warm temperatures led to significant sanitary pressure on the château. Early August was cool, followed by high temperatures until early September. The grapes were harvested at perfect maturity. Over the past 20 years, 2023 is the third earliest vintage.

Vinification

Fermentation takes place in 25 small thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. Malolactic fermentation occurs in barrels, jars, and vats.

The extraction is gentle and done by manual punching down.

Maceration lasts 21 to 28 days.

Aging

The wine is aged in French oak barrels, of which 40% are new and 58% are one-wine barrels. 2% of the production is aged in jars. Aging lasts 14 to 18 months and takes place in the château's underground cellar.
