Wine Profile

“An exceptional quality of Cabernet stands out here, with lots of graphite, pencil lead, crushed stone, walnut, and redcurrant. It expands and gains breadth on the palate while remaining focused. Refined and harmonious, it has magnificent tannins that show both power and intensity. It glides brilliantly across the palate.”
James Suckling, 97 - 98 / 100

Détails chateau LÉOVILLE LAS CASES

History and anecdotes Until the 19th century, the Leoville estate, in Saint-Julien appellation (Medoc), was one of the largest crus. It was divided in three domains afterwards: Château Léoville Las Cases, Château Léoville Barton, Château Léoville Poyferré.Château Léoville Las Cases is made up of the three-fifths of the original estate and is the Las Cases family’s estate. Nowadays, Léoville Las Cases has been managed by the same family since the end of the 19th century. It is represented now by the single owner of the Château, Jean-Hubert Delon.
