Château La Conseillante, an iconic estate with great terroir
A legacy in wine: the 5th generation
The estate's history began in the 18th century, when Catherine Conseillan built the vineyard and gave it her name.
It has been the Nicolas family's property, the 5th generation, for more than 150 years.
A world-class terroir, where Saint-Emilion & Pomerol appellations meet
A 12 hectares vineyard composed of 16 plots, and 4 major soil-types. This mosaic of terroirs boasts illustrious neighbors such as Pétrus, Cheval Blanc and l'Evangile.
Merlot & Cabernet Franc, a singular blending with a violette signature
Finesse, soft creamy texture and intense notes of violet and truffle: these are the distinctive traits of every wine made by La Conseillante. A plot-by-plot vinification is followed by a long ageing process using up to 70% new barrels and 3% amphoras.
Sustainability, fostering biodiversity
For almost a decade, La Conseillante has undertaken actions to reduce its impact, planting clover, oats and radish. The Château is certified ISO 14001 & HVE 3.
