History and anecdotes
Château La Conseillante, located in Pomerol, has been the Nicolas family’s property for more than 150 years. The estate’s history started in the 18th century when Catherine Conseillan built the vineyard and gave it her name. It is one of the most famous estates, near Cheval Blanc and Petrus. The steady quality over the centuries makes its success.
La Conseillante marked a strategic milestone in the seventies when they integrated one of the first technological wine cellars of the region which enabled them to create more precise cuvées. In 2012, they built a plot-by-plot vat room in order to go further in the pursuit of excellence.
