CHATEAU BEAUCASTEL
Symbolic in Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, the Beaucastel estate has been present in the Rhone Valley, in Courthézon in Vaucluse, since the 16th century. The estate has belonged to the Perrin family for five generations. Beaucastel is one of the few estates using the thirteen grape varieties which are allowed by the AOC (Controlled Designation of Origin) for assembling the prestigious red Châteauneuf-du-Pape cuvée which included a high percentage of Mourvedre. The white Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes cuvée is only composed of Roussanne, which is unusual in this vineyard.
