History and anecdotes
Château La Conseillante, located in Pomerol, has been owned by the Nicolas family for over 150 years. The estate's history began in the 18th century when Catherine Conseillan established the vineyard and gave it her name. It is one of the most famous estates, neighboring Château Cheval Blanc and Pétrus. Its success is owed to its consistent quality over the centuries.
Château La Conseillante made a strategic shift in the 1970s by incorporating one of the first technological wineries in the region, allowing it to create more precise cuvées. In 2012, it also added a parcel-based vat room to further pursue its quest for excellence.
