En primeurs 2023

Vintage 2023

“Each vintage of Château Angélus possesses its own uniqueness and reveals a new facet of the great terroirs from which our wines originate. Vintage 2023 continues the stylistic evolution initiated since 2016. We continue to push the boundaries of excellence and quality with subtle touches, aiming for more elegance, finesse, and precision, balancing the power of our wines.” - Chateau Angélus

Wine Profile
“The color is bright and shiny. The nose, with aromas of fresh and complex red fruits, is enhanced by delicate spicy and floral notes.

The palate, dominated by the tension and balance of the Merlots, is energetic, aromatic, and sustained with great length by the freshness of the Merlots with refined tannins.” - Chateau Angélus

Détails chateau CARILLON D'ANGELUS

History and anecdotes

Carillon d'Angélus is the second wine of Château Angélus, born with the 1987 vintage.

For eight generations, the Château has been owned by the de Boüard de Laforest family. The vineyard of Angelus is located in the heart of a natural amphitheater, dominated by the three churches of Saint-Emilion. In the heart of this privileged site, the sounds are amplified and one could once hear the bells ringing the angelus in the morning, at noon and in the evening. In 2012 the Château was classified as a Premier Grand Cru classé A in the Saint Emilion Classification. Today Stéphanie de Boüard - Rivoal manages the estate.
