En primeurs 2023

Vintage 2023

"2023, a naturally demanding vintage, embodies the strength and resilience of Giscours' terroirs." - Ch. Giscours

2023 is described as a jeweler's vintage. Yields were low but the quality is exceptional.

Harvest

The harvest was sequenced according to the age of the vines to pick the grape berries at their optimal maturity. It took place from September 5 to October 6, 2023.

Vinification

The grape berries were harvested and sorted manually. The berries were selected at the winery through optical sorting. The vinification takes place in concrete and stainless steel vats. Maceration lasted 35 days at 28°C.

Aging

The wine of Château Giscours is aged for 17 months in French oak barrels, 50% of which are new.

Wine Profile

"Château Giscours 2023 is a remarkable wine, beautifully balanced. It stands out with a lovely combination of ripe black fruits, exceptional volume and energy, and a great fullness of tannins." - Ch. Giscours
