Viticulture
The season starts off strong. The teams are fully committed to bringing out the best of the vintage despite challenging weather conditions. March, April, May, and June are wet. Budbreak begins on March 28. Flowering is tricky, with some cases of coulure observed. July marks a turning point: the weather calms down and temperatures remain cool. Then August brings drier, sunnier conditions, ideal for berry ripening. Mid-veraison occurs on August 1.
Harvest
Harvesting begins on September 18 and finishes on October 2.

Histoire et anecdotes
The Château l’Evangile history started in the middle of the 18th century, back then it was the Leglise family’s property. Château l’Evangile is located in the Pomerol plateau near Petrus and Château Cheval Blanc.
In 1868, the Cock Féret classification made it “Premier Cru of the Haut Pomerol”. In 1990, it belonged to Barons de Rothschild Lafite’s estates.
Éric de Rothschild, Saskia de Rothshild’s father, confessed to her he made two right decisions in his life: marrying her mother and buying L’Évangile.
