CHATEAU DUCRU-BEAUCAILLOU, 2010

SAINT-JULIEN

"The nose is phenomenal, with perfect aromas of Cabernet Sauvignon, cassis bush, blackberries, and minerals. A pure expression of Cabernet. The palate is flawless, with a full body and perfectly integrated tannins, offering a texture akin to the finest cashmere. It is powerful yet noble, with perfect form and beauty. Everything is in harmony. A fabulous wine that every Bordeaux lover should have in bottle or case. Best from 2020 onwards." - James Suckling

History and anecdotes
Château Ducru-Beaucaillou is a Second Growth wine classified under the 1855 classification in the Saint-Julien appellation. It was founded over 300 years ago. Located near the Gironde estuary, it owes its name to its "beautiful stones," Günzian gravel carried over two million years ago by the Gironde River. The Borie family acquired it in 1941.
