2024, a signature vintage
Wouldn't 2024 be the vintage that represents Bordeaux's oceanic climate and the spirit of the times? Bordeaux is a wine-growing region renowned for its marked millennial effect. Every year, the weather changes, affecting the character and expression of the wines produced.
In Bordeaux, the 2024 en primeur wines reveal the empiricism acquired by each estate
2024 was a challenging vintage with complex episodes that kept the teams and Technical Directors of the estates on their toes. Highly sophisticated work was required in each vineyard.
People were at the heart of the quality of the 2024 vintage. The sensitivity and judgment of our teams were decisive in understanding how to bring these berries to perfect ripeness without losing acidity or accumulating too much sugar. This balancing act was brought to a climax during complex episodes due to a milder, wetter-than-average winter followed by a dry, hot summer. Yields were lower on average, due to mildew, but this resulted in even greater concentration, producing intense wines with pure fruitiness that was already very bright and appreciable.
