CHATEAU DUHART MILON, 2022

PRIMEURS - LIVRAISON 2025

"2022 will be remembered as an exalted vintage: sometimes too hot, too dry, too everything, the weather this year will have been a fiery poet of those who get carried away, who go too far but for whom somehow it works. The lack of water pushed the vines to their limits and made them move mountains... " - Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite

THE WEATHER The winter was colder than the last ones, punctuated by a few rainy episodes. A frost hit at the end of March, beginning of April. Fortunately, the bud break took place on April 9th. The month of May saw record temperatures, which explains the mid-flowering on May 25. In June, 110 millimeters of water fell and allowed the vines to hold the bar. Three heat waves followed one another, one per month, resulting in mid-ripening on August 2nd.
BLEND The budburst took place on April 9. Mid-flowering was reached on May 25, then on August 2 it was the turn of mid-ripening. The harvest started on August 31 and ended on September 28.
WINEMAKING This year, the press selection technique changed to perfect the final blend.
