History and anecdotes
Château Canon, located in Saint-Émilion, has been owned by the Wertheimer family since 1996. It is one of the most prestigious and oldest estates in the appellation.
The estate was included in the official classification of Saint-Émilion wines in 2012 as a Premier Grand Cru Classé B.
Château Canon owes its name to Jacques Canon, a sailor and privateer for the King, who was the owner of the estate in the 18th century.
