History and anecdotes
The history of Château Nénin goes back several centuries. It was owned by the Demay family in the 18th century, then by the Paillet family in the 19th century and finally by the Despujol family through marriage until 1997. At that time, Michel Delon (also owner of Château Léoville Las Cases) bought the estate from his cousins and undertook important works to develop the vineyard and the installations.
Château Nénin is a very large property in the Pomerol appellation with 32 hectares of vines.

2022 VINTAGE | "The wines of 2022 are in no way affected by the extreme climatic conditions of the vintage. In fact, the wines are fresh and full-bodied, thanks in particular to the vineyards' ability to adapt over the course of the season. Nénin 2022 is a great vintage in the making. "Château Nénin/td> |
WINE GROWING | Reactivity and adaptability are the key words for the 2022 vintage at Nénin. Despite the climatic challenges, frost damage was limited thanks to control measures, the dedication of the teams and late pruning. The dry, warm spring helped the vines to develop well, but the very hot summer meant that there was some risk of water stress, which was narrowly avoided. Harvesting began on 1 September and finished on 23 September 2022. |
