History and anecdotes
The history of Château Nénin dates back several centuries. It was owned by the Demay family in the 18th century, then by the Paillet family in the 19th century, and finally by the Despujol family through marriage until 1997. At that time, Michel Delon (also owner of Château Léoville Las Cases) purchased the estate from his cousins and undertook significant work to improve the vineyard and facilities.
Château Nénin is a very large estate for the Pomerol appellation, with 32 hectares of vineyards.
