CHATEAU AUSONE, 2003

SAINT-EMILION GRAND CRU

"Incredible! The limestone soils of Ausone seem to have been the perfect ally to withstand the extreme heat and drought of June, July, and August 2003. This black/purple effort reveals a sumptuous nose of violets, truffles, pencil shavings, as well as blueberry and blackberry liqueur. Full-bodied with impressive concentration, a voluptuous texture, low acidity, and well-integrated, melted tannins, this deep, multidimensional, and intense Bordeaux is beginning to be exceptionally enjoyable to taste." - Robert Parker
