History and anecdotes
For eight generations, the Château has been owned by the de Boüard de Laforest family. The Angélus vineyard is located in the heart of a natural amphitheater, dominated by the three churches of Saint-Emilion. In this privileged location, sounds are amplified, and in the past, one could hear the bells ringing the Angelus in the morning, at noon, and in the evening. In 2012, the Château was classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé A in the Saint Emilion classification. Today, Stéphanie de Boüard-Rivoal runs the estate.
