" 2008: Candidate for Wine of the Vintage in 2008, Troplong Mondot was produced from a yield of 41 hectoliters per hectare and reached 14.5% natural alcohol. A classic blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, it offers a great deal of blue and black fruit, full-bodied opulence, soft tannins, and a fabulous texture and finish. It already drinks beautifully, but will be even better in 2 to 5 years and should last 20 years. A great effort for the vintage, which could not have come to a more deserving owner, Christine Valette. Bravo to all! " - Robert Parker
