GRAPE VARIETIES | 78% cabernet sauvignon, 17% merlot, 5% cabernet franc |
2022 VINTAGE | A mild winter, with above-normal temperatures, favoured an early budburst in April. Thanks to its geographical position close to the estuary and the measures taken by the teams, the vineyard escaped the night frosts. Spring was warm and dry, with optimum flowering at the end of May. June was rainy, followed by hailstorms. Drought and heatwave set in in July, but the summer thunderstorms allowed the grapes to ripen properly. |
AGEING | The wine is aged in barrels for 18 months, 60% of which are new, with medium and long toasting. Racking is traditional. |
