History and anecdotes
The château's second wine, Sarget de Gruaud Larose, was named after one of its owners in 1867, the Baron Sarget.
The Château Gruaud Larose motto is : “King of wines, Wine of Kings”

WINEMAKING | Alcoholic fermentation is made in wood vats for 50% and in thermo-regulated steel vats for 50%. The maceration lasts 20 to 30 days with a precise control of the temperatures. The malolactic fermentation is done. The wine ageing is done in new oak barrels for 80% with a medium heating and lasts from 18 to 24 months. |
