E. GUIGAL, LA MOULINE, 2012

CÔTE-RÔTIE

“This has a brooding feel, with layers of warm tobacco leaf, roasted alder and juniper, and sweet tapenade leading the way, backed by a dense core of macerated plum, black currant and raspberry fruit. The long, smoldering finish shows terrific latent grip.” - Wine Spectator

The E. Guigal House is a Rhone Valley world reference. Founded in 1946, the E. Guigal family estate is located in Ampuis in the Northern Rhone Valley, in Côte-Rôtie. Simultaneously, the founder Etienne Guigal decided to create a wine trading house. In 1995, the E. Guigal House bought Château d’Ampuis. In 2017, the family bought Château de Nalys and thus got established in the Southern Rhone Valley in Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation.
