La fraîcheur en bouche est tout simplement étonnante, imprégnant et soulevant couche après couche des fruits tropicaux et des notions terreuses, le tout enveloppé dans une texture somptueuse et culminant dans une très, très longue finale teintée de minéraux." Histoire et anecdotes
Le château d’Yquem est situé sur la rive gauche de la Garonne. Unique terroir à avoir été classé Premier Cru Supérieur de Sauternes et du Barsac en 1855, les premières vignes furent plantées au 16ème siècle. La propriété resta  au sein de la famille Lur-Saluces pendant  plus de 4 siècles. Depuis 1999 Bernard Arnault est devenu le premier actionnaire.
