History and anecdotes
A true global reference, Maison Chapoutier is located in Tain l'Hermitage. Its history began in 1808 under the name Maison Calvet et Compagnie. In 1897, Marius Chapoutier, along with a partner, founded a company that would become the future Maison Chapoutier. Since 1989, the brilliant wine merchant and winemaker Michel Chapoutier has been leading the house. The Chapoutier empire has been built through successive vineyard acquisitions both in France and around the world.
