CHATEAU D'ARMAILHAC, 2009

PAUILLAC

" The best D’Armailhac I have tasted so far, the 2009 vintage is mainly composed of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), blended with a high proportion of Merlot (25%), with the remainder being Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Its dense violet color is followed by a powerful sweet kiss of asphalt, blackcurrant, mocha, barbecue smoke, cedar, and spices. This Pauillac, medium to full-bodied, well-structured, and remarkably balanced, should age well for over 20 years. Best enjoyed between 2012 and 2032. " - Robert Parker
