2022 VINTAGE | A cold, dry winter led to early budding in March. High temperatures and a lack of rain in spring, which was the hottest on record, resulted in early and uniform flowering. Thanks to the sustained efforts of our teams, stress on the vines was limited, particularly on the older plants, despite the hot, dry summer. Veraison took place rapidly at the end of July. A few rainy spells in the autumn, combined with the deep roots of the vines, kept the vineyard cool. |
WINEMAKING | The grapes are harvested by hand and pressed directly and gently in an inert environment. Fermentation takes place in barrels, 50% of which are new, from the cooperage based at the château. |
AGEING | The wines are aged on their lees for 12 months, with 50% new oak. After blending, additional ageing lasts for 3 months in vats. |
