History and anecdotes
The prestigious family estate Coche-Dury was founded in 1920 by Léon Coche. At the time, the estate primarily sold wine in bulk. When George Coche took over in 1964, the estate began selling most of its wines in bottles. In 1973, Jean-François, George’s son, took over and added his wife’s family name, Dury, to the estate’s name. In 1999, Jean-François' son, Raphaël, began working full-time alongside his father and eventually took over the estate in 2010.
