CHATEAU ANGELUS
For eight generations, the Château has belonged to the de Broüard de Laforest family. The Angelus vineyard is located within a natural amphitheatre, which is dominated by the three churches of Saint-Emilion. In the heart of the special site, the sound is amplified and we formerly could hear the Angelus bells ring in the morning, at midday and in the evening. In 2012, the Château was classified “A” as Premier Grand Cru in the Saint-Emilion classification. Nowadays, Stéphanie de Boüard - Rivoal manages the estate.
CARILLON D'ANGELUS
Carillon d’Angélus is Château Angélus' second wine, first released with the 1987 vintage. This wine represents around 20% of the estate production and comes from a combination of two cabernets, franc and sauvignon, with a variable percentage of merlot, the leading grape variety in Saint-Emilion.
