HISTORY AND ANECDOTES
Château Cantenac Brown, Château Boyd in the past, was founded in 1806 by John Lewis Boyd, a Scottish wine merchant. Château Cantenac brown was built in the Tudor English Renaissance style, in the 19th century. The family motto was “floreat majestas”, “Let majesty flourish”. An eco-friendly wine cellar composed of raw earth, which ensures a thermal inertia and a suitable humidity, is being built for the 2023 harvest.
