WINEGROWING The winter was mild. The spring frosts had a minimal effect on the well ventilated vines. June was rainy but did not lead to any cryptogamic disease pressure in the vineyard thanks to the limestone soil, the natural drainage and the topography. The summer ends with sunny and warm days which will allow the grapes to refine their maturity
WINEMAKING The selection in the vineyard and in the cellar is meticulous to keep only the best berries. The winemaking is carried out at low temperature to favor a soft extraction. The wines are aged in barrels, 36% of which are new.

History and anecdotes
Born from the union of the terroirs of Chateau L'Arrosée and Chateau Tertre Daugay acquired by the family company Domaine Clarence Dillon, Chateau Quintus is the fifth wine estate of the group. Located in Saint-Emilion, the name of the château comes from an ancient Gallo-Roman tradition of naming the fifth son by Quintus.
